float/hike options

Has anyone tried a float/hike combo trip between Little St. Louis and Onondaga TH on the Courtois section? Or have another suggestion? Is it possible to float on the Courtois Creek and Huzzah Creek to the Meramec River? I did this last year between Kletzpig Mill and south of Powder MIll TH. Probably late summer.

That is a classic hike/float. Very nice trail, beautiful water, easy weekend trip. Probably best now to mid summer to ensure navigability. A longer, very enjoyable combo is a Big Spring to Powder Mill hike with a return float. Check that the Current River section of the OT through Peck Ranch is open. Do it!

The OT Original Hike n Float.

Other Options - Berryman to Bass - Requires a short hike down the side of Hwy 8 a couple miles to put in. Bass will assist.

As mentioned the Current River Section is a great trip as well. The only downside is the hills are much bigger/steeper on this section.
