Blaze Orange

I forgot to mention anything about turkey hunting season yesterday when i did my report. We wore cloth blaze orange hunters vests on our packs. We also put blaze orange duck tape strips on our hiking poles. We both use two poles, and with their constant movement as we walked we were pretty easy to see. We did not hear any gun shots until saturday morning around 7 and another one around 8. We felt pretty save hiking.

Yeah I never sweat turkey season much. Not alot of range on a shot gun. If I'm 40 yards away from a hunter and he can't tell I'm not a turkey then it wouldn't matter if I was in a clown suit, he'd shoot me anyway! :P

Now deer season, thats a different story!

I went hiking on Saturday in the Meramec CA and we met some turkey hunters on the road. One of them said one member or our party walked right past him! We never even saw him. :)
