Trail: Current River - Rocky Falls to Powder Mill
Time in: 10:30 am
Time out: 5:30 pm
Weather: 40-60 degrees and sunny

Notes:

We camped at Powder Mill campground Friday and Saturday night and had the place to ourselves. The current river was very high, and over the road in 1 spot when we arrived. By morning it had dropped significantly.

We got on the trail late, and drove to Rocky Falls. The falls were breathtaking - I didn't know we had something like that in Missouri. We hiked back to the campground without major incident, although we had some challenging (and cold!) creek crossings. The crossing at Klepzig was especially challenging.

We only saw 1 other person driving and taking photos - no hikers.

This is a beautiful section of the OT, and very well maintained and marked. Photos can be found http://picasaweb.google.com/drwilliams39/OzarkTrail10252009#
