South Trace Hwy A to Hwy 32

8/03 - Gustav arrived and the tropical rain came down the entire day, didn't stop a buddy and I from biking the section from Hwy A trailhead to Hwy 32. Trail was in great shape -even when wet it drains phenomenally! The 1st transition from logging road to singletrack is somewhat difficult to notice if your flying down the trail. After passing the turnoff and no longer noticing OT signs along the logging road we turned around and noticed we had jumped over some logs meant to show 'stop' and the OT sign at the turn is obstructed by some new white oak tree shoots. Also, 1 new chainsawable tree along the trail, somewhere in the middle of that section. There was also ALOT of hog activity in the valley right below Hwy 32 along the trail. I was half expecting an unwanted encounter...
