Spring flowers

How about reports on wildflowers you encounter over the next few weeks? My report from Crawford County, spotted 3/26: harbinger of spring, toothwort. I'll be on the Blair Creek section this weekend, and will update afterwards.

Join in... let us know what flowers YOU spot, by date and and trail segment.

We're entering the best season of the year, so get out and send us some reports!

I spotted plenty of these on Blair Creek last weekend. Don't know what they are called, but they seemed to think Spring was underway.

A flower of many names - Jonquil, Daffodil, Narcissus. Some local folk call them Easter Lillies. When you spot these flowers, you know you have found an old homestead, since these are not native plants. Some settler planted the bulbs for us to enjoy generations later! Well, that probably wasn't their plan, but they are nice to see.
