Eleven Point River Section

Hiked from Greer Campground to Hurricane Creek then took the lower loop back to Greer on Nov 23-24 2017. The morning was crisp and there were ice flowers every where. Very beautiful. Since the leaves had all fallen at once the trail had a thick cover ankle to shin deep. This made it very difficult to see what was beneath the leaves. There was a pool of water at Hackleton Hollow. This was a suprise since it is sooo dry. We camped at Hurricane Creek. Lost the river trail briefly at Hurricane Creek. A huge tree jam crossed the creek. We did cross the creek twice to find the trail. Enjoyed watching two eagles while on the river trail. Beautiful weather for hiking.
