North Fork Section

Postby hasmith » Mon Nov 20, 2017 10:45 am

My backpacking partner and I hiked the North Fork section from the Collins Ridge Trailhead to Pomona on November 11-12. The trail is in generally good condition with few trees down. It is well marked, and water sources indicated on the map were typically easy to locate and contained a fair amount of water. The only downside is that we forgot it was the start of deer hunting season and we didn't come prepared with orange vests. We saw many hunters and heard many more gunshots. Overall it was a nice trip, but don't forget to check the hunting seasons and wear safety clothing!

Saw lots of folks hiking without Orange. I will try to post a reminder next year.
