Adopt-A-Trail    Work Reports

Work Details:
Date of Visit:  10/14/2017
Trail Section:  North Fork
Adoption Section:  NF6 - Hwy CC to Collins Ridge Trailhead
Work Completed:  Continued hand sawing and removing limbs, trunks and anything else that was in the path of hikers and riders. Covered from the ending point of yesterday (around mile 25), to the trail camp. Also tended to re-routes around trees and debris which have become, in essence, the trail.
Sawyer Needs: Hand sawed encroaching limbs; also sawed and removed small tree trunks, or parts of the tree, from the trail.
Special Needs:
General Comments: It was slow progress again today, especially around Crooked Creek, where trees, brush and such were piled up over head high in many places. There was a faint path through the creek; I took time to make it much wider and easier to get through without running into limbs and/or tripping over tree parts/debris from the flooding. It worked; some horse riders behind me made it in good order.
